Helping Others Move Forward—One Signature at a Time
This week, I met with a man who needed documents notarized as part of his divorce proceedings. We sat down at a local Starbucks here in Ocala—just a quiet corner and a table covered in papers, coffee cups, and a whole lot of emotions.
Divorce is never easy. No matter how amicable things might be, there’s always a sense of something coming to an end. There’s grief, uncertainty, maybe even guilt—but there’s also a quiet strength that comes with choosing to move forward. I could see that in his eyes. He wasn’t just signing paperwork—he was turning a page in his life.
As a mobile notary, I find myself in moments like these often—not just meeting someone for a signature, but standing with them in a significant chapter of their story. Sometimes it's joyful, like closing on a new home or adopting a child. Other times, it’s more complicated—like divorce. But each time, I remind myself that I’m helping someone take the next step. That matters.
We talked a little while I went over the paperwork—nothing too deep, just enough to let him know he wasn’t alone. When everything was signed, sealed, and notarized, he looked lighter. Still tired, still carrying a lot—but lighter. There’s something empowering about tying up the loose ends and beginning again.
I left that Starbucks feeling grateful for the work I get to do. It’s not just stamps and signatures—it’s people, stories, fresh starts.
If you or someone you know needs a notary who understands that life isn’t always black and white—someone who meets you with kindness, patience, and a steady hand—know that I’m just a call or text away.
Because sometimes, it really is now or never.
